Maple, Copper & Driftwood Vessel
One of a kind, hand turned vessel measuring approximately 5" in diameter by 6" tall.
Maple body with turquoise inlay, hand hammered copper top with a driftwood "knob" or statue.
Maple wood is easy to split, but it tends to discolor during drying. After felling, the logs must be quickly carved and stored vertically. It is hard and resistant but at the same time elastic which is good for turning on the lathe.
